In recognition of April as Ohio Native Plant Month, members and partners of the Lake Erie Allegheny Partnership (LEAP) will celebrate one native plant a day. Over the past 10 years the LEAP Native Plant of the Year campaign has highlighted native species that can make exceptional additions to area landscapes and gardens while reducing the threat of invasive non-native species to the region’s biodiversity.
